Features and Benefits
The main characteristic feature of the ADP diffuser is the same "inlet to outlet ratio for each size", which provides constant pressure drop at variable flow rates. Products of similar appearance provide only one discharge outlet size for each different inlet size. The reduced induction of the smaller units causes constant volume or VAV systems to perform poorly.
Unique radial diffuser provides "three dimensional" air distribution.
Supply air jets remain stable even at minimum volume flow rates.
Discharge heights are between 8 and 16 feet, depending on nominal diameter and volume flow rate.
The product will perform to a maximum temperature difference of 24°F in the cooling mode.
The diffuser emits low sound power levels for all sizes.
Allows flush mounting in suspended false ceilings, installation above grid ceilings or visible installation.
Available in 5 sizes, ranging from DNR-8 to DNR-16.
Standard unit is designed with circular visible surface or square lay-in panel.
High grade, heavy-gauge aluminum provides a rigid lightweight structure.
Standard quality finish an attractive off-white color that is resistant to corrosion.
Radial diffuser virtually eliminates temperature stratification and stagnation by enhancing a thorough mixing of fresh air with room air.
Induction ratio many times greater than conventional diffusers, providing uniform energy distribution.

Function

The supply air discharged from the outlet envelopes the circular, integrated diffuser rim as a result to the Coanda effect. Symmetrical rotating horizontal radial jets create a low velocity upward swirl of room air.

Thus, the horizontal supply air is mixed intensively with room air creating a draft-free, uniform mixture of air.

Layout Tips

Radial diffusers can be located in the vicinity of the return air inlets, if there are at least ten (10) inches between the height of the return air inlet and that of the supply air outlet.

If the radial diffuser and return air inlet are on the same level, the horizontal center distance between units should be at least five (5) times the nominal diffuser diameter.
