The
unique design of the ADP product, when compared with products of similar
appearance, assures constant high induction regardless of unit size.
This is possible because - unlike competitors' products whose "inlet to outlet ratio" varies with unit size for reduced induction - each ADP unit, no matter its size, has the same "inlet to outlet ratio", thus providing constant high induction. This feature is VITALLY important for successful VAV application, especially during the heating mode. The innovative outlet generates symmetrical rotating horizontal jets to create a turbulent vortex flow pattern in the unoccupied zone. Large volumes of room air are induced at low velocity to provide draft-free conditions that eliminate cold floors and dumping of cold air on occupants while assuring fresh air ventilation. Design Information This tried and tested radial diffuser was originally developed in Europe and has been used for years as the standard for HVAC applications. ADP has manufactured this product since 1988 with excellent customer response and preference. The typical customer complaints of other products due to: stratification.. dumping... draft... stagnation and poor ventilation are totally eliminated! This ceiling diffuser simply "works better" - whether for constant or variable flow systems. Supply air mixes with induced room air at the ceiling so that occupants only feel room air temperature without draft. Material and Construction The radial diffuser is fabricated from high grade aluminum to produce a rigid, lightweight unit. The inlet section is spot-welded to the face section to provide a continuous smooth surface. The standard finish is a high quality, off-white coating that is both attractive and corrosion resistant.
